Schedule Mediation

Mediation is an informal process where a neutral third party — the mediator — facilitates the resolution of disputes between parties.  The process is designed to help the parties reach an agreement as to all or some of the issues in dispute outside of a court setting.  The parties are the decision-makers.  The mediator helps the parties to identify the issues they want to resolve, explore possible solutions, engage in shared problem-solving, and attempt to come to a settlement.

Mediation is cost effective and helps to preserve relationships.  It gives the parties control over the outcome of their cases and provides for more creativity than traditional court processes.

Most cases can be resolved through mediation, including but not limited to: family and divorce, juvenile law, contract disputes, personal injury, employment, probate and real estate.

Amy Halbrook has completed both General Mediation and Family Law Mediation training.  She is a lead trainer for Northern Kentucky University’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, which provides training for mediators in Kentucky and Ohio.
